I Love My New Job!

I've always heard people say that the most important job you will ever have in your life, is being a mother. Well, I've only been back to work for 2 days, and a mom for 3 months, but I'd have to agree. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, an I take a lot of pride in being a nurse. But as I drove home from Portland the other night, I had never been so excited about going home and being a mom! I literally had to make sure I wasn't speeding to get there! That night I didn't want to lie her down in her cradle. The next morning I loved bathing her, singing to her, and watching her as she napped. I guess my point is...I look forward to every day that I get to spend influencing, playing with, teaching, and loving Berkley...I already loved my job, but my new job is better than I ever imagined!

Give me a B...B! Give me a BERKLEY BUNNY!

Give me a B....B! Give me a BERKLEY BUNNY! Berkley definitely gave the Easter Bunny a run for his money this year! She was full of kicks and giggles, and we had a great day! She wore daddy out, and had a ton of fun at Grandma Jody's and Auntie Lorraines! Next year her cousins better watch out though...Berkley will be running around hunting for those easter eggs too!

We've come to appreciate every smile...

To say the least, it's been a rough few weeks... Berkley is now 10 weeks old, but for the last 6 weeks or so you never know what we're gonna get. She may be an absolute angel, or she may scream for 3 hours straight... she may be a little snuggle bug, or she may be so inconsolable that even I want to cry. I guess the good thing is, we've come to appreciate every smile, we love the squeaks and the coos, and everyday we are a little closer to kissing the colic goodbye. In the meantime, we will continue to vacuum, blow dry our hair, run the bath water and bounce our little sunshine on the exercise ball:)

Olive You!

Olive you Uncle Craig and Auntie Missy! Berkley Ann is 7 weeks old today, but when she was only about 7 weeks gestation she ran the Rock and Roll Half Marathon with mommy and Auntie Missy! We thought it was pretty funny that the What To Expect When You're Expecting app on my phone said she was only the size of an olive:) A few weeks later, Craig and Missy were in San Fransisco and found her this cute little onesie and a pair of olive green booties. How perfect! Unfortunately, the booties are still a little bit too big and Berkley wouldn't keep them on for the picture...the onesie looks pretty darn cute though!

Pretty Much Perfect!

Berkley is 5 weeks old today, and pretty much perfect! 24/7 I'm not so sure about though....more like 22/7! Unfortunately, her little tummy has been keeping her up at night. Berkley and mom are back in the big city, and looking forward to her "Welcoming Shower" on saturday. I'm sure we will have plenty of cute pictures to post then...Honestly, we are beginning to think she is one of the most spoiled little girls we have ever known :) What can we say...she's perfect and we aren't the only ones who think so either!

Tutu Cute!

As of yesterday, Berkley Ann is a month old! Like I mentioned before, she is growing like a weed! The good news is...her adorable 0-3 month outfits are starting to fit! Uncle Dennis and Auntie Katie bought Berkley her first tutu :) Daddy isn't quite sure about ballet lessons though. He was thinking more along the lines of a wrestling singlet than a girly tutu. Mommy says that although Berkley may grow up to be a tough little tomboy, we are going to keep her away from boys and the wrestling mat until she is old enough to be the scorekeeper!

Growing Like a Weed!

We can't even believe how fast the last 3 weeks have flown by! Our little sunshine is growing like a weed! At least her hair and those skinny little legs are! Berkley Ann was back up to 6 lbs 11 oz at her 2 week appointment, but I'd bet she is probably topping the scale at a whopping 7 lbs by now. Although we hate to see her grow up too fast, we are looking forward to it, every step of the way!
